If I agree to participate in the PNM Smart Home Charging Program with Optiwatt, what will I receive?
You will receive a one-time enrollment incentive of $75 per EV once your program enrollment is accepted. Additionally, you will receive an $8 monthly incentive per EV for continued participation in the program.
How do I participate in the program?
To enroll, download the Optiwatt app or go to https://get.optiwatt.com/pnm-ev-rewards/ and complete the PNM enrollment forms. You will need a connected device that works with Optiwatt, which includes 95+% of all EV makes/models. Full lists of connected devices are available at www.optiwatt.com/faq
If I have more than one electric vehicle, am I eligible for two incentives?
Only one incentive will be awarded per household service address.
How will I know I’m earning money?
In the Optiwatt platform, you’ll receive regular updates showing your charging behavior, estimated kWh shifted, bill savings, and any earned incentives.
Will this program prevent me from charging my EV?
No, you will always have the option to charge now. If you choose to use Optiwatt's optional charging features, Optiwatt will prioritize your departure time and charge limit preference to ensure you always have the battery you need.
How will this affect my EV charging schedule?
By participating in the program, you agree to allow Optiwatt to manage your vehicle's charging. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any of the events if participating would cause an inconvenience. The Optiwatt app can help you conveniently optimize your charging and ensure your car is charged when you need it.
How do I stop participating in the program?
If you decide to unenroll, you may do so easily within the “Charging” tab of the mobile or desktop Optiwatt app. Alternatively, you may email support@optiwatt.com to unenroll at any time. We highly recommend chatting with the support team to address any concerns or challenges with the program before unenrolling
